I wear tri-focal glasses, and I need to carry 2 pair, one that is the normal tri-focal glasses, and the other is just mid-range and reading for computer work (I am a computer programmer, so I need glasses that I can see the whole screen without changing my head angle). This means I carry two pair of glasses, and swap them out as needed during the day. I prefer to keep the glasses in a shirt pocket (or occasionally in a large pants pocket or jacket pocket). The glasses case I got from the optician tends to last about 6 months before the hinge gives out. I wanted a somewhat hard case to protect the glasses from falls. With the glasses case going in/out of the shirt pocket a lot during the day, I did not want hooks or anything extraneous that could catch on things. The Bauson eyeglass case that I just go is perfect for my uses. It isn't overly big, my prescription glasses fit into it just fine. I tend to buy the large frame glasses that have an integrated nose piece , and my glasses fit into the case.My order came as a pair of cases. The pair I bought had clear plastic for one case, and smokey gray plastic for the other. This way I can also use the second case for my prescription sunglasses, and I can quickly identify which case is which if I'm carrying both cases. You can see within the case, so I can identify which pair of glasses is in the case.It came with an eyeglass cleaning cloth as well. Now, while it is plastic and should protect your glasses from falls and spills, it likely will not protect your glasses if you sit on the case. Or if you put the case in the outside pocket of checked luggage and let the airplane's baggage smashing gorillas do their work (been there, done that). But the case appears it will survive normal falls and spills.I've only found one case that was hard enough to survive heavier objects falling on the glasses (Witz Lens Locker) and fit in a shirt pocket, but that is no longer being made.It also is not big enough for holding wrap around glasses like my rayban sunglasses for driving (distance only). If it had been big enough to hold the wrap around glasses, it would not easily fit into a shirt pocket, and my normal glasses would rattle around in the case. But it looks like it will work fine for holding my normal glasses in a shirt pocket.Since I just got it, I have no idea how long the spring will last. But at $6/case, even if I have to replace it yearly, it will still be a good deal.As a followup, I was wearing a tee-shirt, so I couldn't put the glass in my shirt pocket, and instead put the case in my pants pocket with my cell phone. As I was leaning over to pick something up off of the floor, the glasses case got cracked. It still protected the glasses, but I will need to use super-glue to rejoin the two ends.
